Downey took Pepper right in, but Scarlett saw Pepper as a threat, so \u2026we attempted a slow introduction, following advice online (some of which was half-wrong, the rest mostly if not all wrong). Scarlett&#8217;s aggression was devastating to us\u2026We nearly returned her to the shelter. After months of failure, we decided to enlist help and I[found] one of \u2018America&#8217;s 10 Best Pet Behaviorists\u2019 right here in the Valley &#8211; Jane Ehrlich!! No one wanted a visually impaired and scared cat.\u00a0 We moved to a new home, as well, and she became reclusive, and terrified of everything.\u00a0 Jane gave me many suggestions that I tried. It has been a slow uphill challenge, but Patti is no longer urinating inappropriately,\u00a0 she is coming out of her closet, and again letting my husband and me pet her and pick her up.\u00a0 Jane is patient and full of knowledge with regard to cat behaviors.\u00a0 <strong>She saved Patti from becoming another pound kitty to be euthanized, to a kitty that is again a part of our family.<\/strong> Jane always returned my emails\/calls, and always encouraging and supportive. This triggered Binky on hunting and bullying Bowser and in general not knowing how to share with another cat. We had adopted Chance, a 4 year old male half a year after adopting Colby, a now 7 year old male. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Due to poor advice which we received from other behavior sources, we struggled with the introduction of the two and another source already had told us that we had to get rid of Chance again, but that wasn\u2019t an option for us.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">We found Jane online and working with her made all the difference! A couple of calls and endless texts later, Colby and Chance love peacefully together.
