“Our personal feline Jedi Grand Master. When we introduced our new addition Pepper to our 8-year-old litter-mates Downey and Scarlett, we didn’t realize the trouble we were in for. Downey took Pepper right in, but Scarlett saw Pepper as a threat, so …we attempted a slow introduction, following advice online (some of which was half-wrong, the rest mostly if not all wrong). Scarlett’s aggression was devastating to us…We nearly returned her to the shelter. After months of failure, we decided to enlist help and I[found] one of ‘America’s 10 Best Pet Behaviorists’ right here in the Valley – Jane Ehrlich!! When Jane called us back, I actually said “Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope!”
As it says on her website, ‘(Jane’s) lifelong commitment to improving the lives of cats and their humans makes Jane one of the most experienced experts in the profession.’
She was SIMPLY THE BEST! She visited our home 2 or 3 times, and put up with a dozen phone calls and emails following up with her. Although it’s taken time, we are happy to report that Scarlett’s aggression has been reduced by about 98 percent and Pepper has become much more comfortable around the house, roaming as she pleases, even when we leave the house… They DO frequently touch noses, co-exist in the same close quarters, enjoy treats, praise and playing together — without any issues whatsoever. No words can express our gratitude!
If you need help with your cat family members and follow her suggestions, you can’t find anyone ANYWHERE better than Jane!”
